Thankful Heart

I know a lot of people on Facebook are sharing something they are thankful for every day through the month of November. I am not participating in that although I am grateful for many things. This is my thankful short list. I have a thankful heart.

Thankful Heart

1. I am thankful for all of the experiences that life has brought my way. I wouldn’t be the person I am without them all. It’s not an easy thing to learn to embrace the bad but when you do, it can be totally amazing.

2. I am thankful for my parents. I love these two people with a love I can’t define. They mean more to me each day. I can’t imagine life without them.

3. I am thankful for becoming a mother, the good, the bad…all of it!

4. I am thankful to my husband who has graciously supported me for 33 years, enabling me to stay at home with our kids while homeschooling them; and to pursue the many entrepreneurial itches I had the urge to scratch, for without him I would not have been able to do so. Being able to stay home with my kids when they were growing up is the greatest gift this side of heaven.

I am grateful for so much more but I just wanted to focus on those few things that claim the biggest parts of my heart.

What are you thankful for?

  1. Laurie, thank you for sharing your “thankfuls” with us, and that lovely fall picture! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday…I love the focus on gratitude and thankfulness that I “should” maintain all year…..but sometimes forget. Your appreciation of your family is beautiful- thank you! 🙂

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Love, Joy

    • I’m not a huge fan of the holiday itself due to past issues but I am looking to tell each person in my life why I am thankful for them today. I hope you have a blessed and meaningful Thanksgiving.
