Making Changes

Have you ever found yourself looking back? What does that feel like? Do you look back with regrets, or do you do so with a grateful heart for all you’ve experienced?

It’s hard not to, right? Especially as you get older and time just keeps on ticking, ticking, ticking…

Maybe it’s time for changes?

What is the point of looking back? It’s true, you’re really not going that way. And besides, why keep dragging the past into your present? This will ensure that your future will continue to look the same as it always has.

And that’s okay, if that’s what you want.

Your past doesn’t have to equal your future, I don’t care who you are. You can have a different life, if that’s what you’re looking for.

I have heard it said that where you put your attention is where you will get results. The same can be said for your future. It’s the law of sowing and reaping. If you keep on doing what you’ve always done, then you’ll keep on getting what you’ve always gotten.

There are reasons why people tend to look back.

•They have regrets.

•They want a do-over.

•They wish they could change some things.

•The past torments them.

It is totally understandable to feel this way. We all have things we regret and wish we could change. But what if we could ensure our futures are better than our pasts?

If you think it’s too late to start over, it’s not. You can start your day over any time. The same can be said for your life. If you want to make a change, then do so by making tiny changes on a daily basis. That is called the One Degree Principle. It’s like eating an elephant, one bite at a time.

What about you? Are you satisfied with where you are now? Did life turn out the way you planned? Do you find yourself looking back more often than is necessary, especially with no intent to learn from pass mistakes so you can make an adjustment or two.

Life is short. In retrospect, it really is. Time does indeed have a way of passing quickly by.

What’s stopping you from living the life you want?

I am honored to help women with designing their futures. I would love to help you!
