Do you remember the movie What a Girl Wants with Amanda Bynes and Colin Firth? Well that’s not what this post is about, but do keep reading!

My husband, daughter and I were watching a different movie the other night; P.S. I Love You. I’ve seen this movie before and actually forgot that it isn’t one of my faves while watching. But that’s okay. The thing about watching movies at home is you a can always stop watching, which I did for awhile. I came back for the ending which is not too bad.

There was a conversation exchanged between two of the key characters in this movie; Holly and Daniel played by Hilary Swank and Harry Connick Jr. I thought the conversation was quite thought provoking and I wanted to share it with you!

Daniel was lamenting the fact that he didn’t know what a girl wants to Holly, bemoaning the fact that since he didn’t know, how would he ever know, you know? Holly decided to clue him on the world’s best kept secret EVER. Daniel moseyed over closer to Holly as she was preparing to enlighten him on what a girls wants. With baited breath and anticipation Daniel listened to Holly say that a girl doesn’t really know what she wants.

I beg to differ.

If you are male and you are reading this post and you want to know what a girl really wants, then come a little closer and continue reading. I’m about to spill the beans on this simple truth that has eluded the male gender for generations and beyond.

I’m a girl, or I used to be. I’ve lived a lot of years ad learned a thing or two along the way. I know what a girl wants. I do! Don’t get me wrong, there are differences according to personality traits and such, but there is one thing we all have in common.

It’s really quite simple. It’s true. Here’s the deal; what a girl wants is to feel like she is special. She wants to feel like she’s the only one.

From my lips to your ears, my friend, or rather my stroke of the keyboard to your reading eyes.

Do you feel enlightened and better prepared? Do you feel as if you now possess the key to future success and fulfillment in current or potential relationships? Well maybe you should because now you know:

  1. Amen! We want to feel special, be treated as if we are special. We want to be the one, before sports, cars, etc. You can participate in all those things, but don’t let them come before us. When you do that we feel betrayed and hurt. There are sad marriages that go on this way for decades, deteriorating with each year that passes. If you are just starting out, pay attention to this fact. Same for you girls. Put him first. Great post!
